[Peace-discuss] Ask Your State Rep to Support Iraq Withdrawal Resolution

For most of us, that's Naomi. The three co-sponsors are all from north of
I-80. It sure wouldn't hurt to have a downstate legislator on board. Naomi's
district is largely C-U - ie, where the referendum passed overwhelmingly in
November. I think we have a strong claim on her support.

HR 0173, sponsored by Reps. Lou Lang, Sara Feigenholtz, and Jack Franks,
disapproves of President Bush's decision to deploy more than 20,000
additional combat troops to Iraq and *urges the President to immediately
begin an orderly and rapid withdrawal of all **U.S.** troops from **Iraq**.
*This is the same position that was approved by large majorities of voters
everywhere in Illinois it was on the ballot in November 2006.
