here are two further responses to Sheehan's announcement.

these responses below expose how continuing to lobby Congress for more
"anti-war" votes has proven to be a dead-end strategy.  I believe that
working for "progressive" democrats in the hope of bringing the troops
home now is exactly the problem that Ms. Sheehan is addressing.  That
is, that her long hours and work within the Democratic Party have
proven to be fruitless--and in fact, the Democratic Party operatives
have turned on her for challenging them.
