[Peace-discuss] LeMonde right wing attack

More on the French press:

In an earlier exchange, surprise was expressed at how LeFigaro can on occasion show more journalistic integrity than LeMonde. So I thought I would send along a recent right wing editorial attack run by LeMonde against a student strike unraveling in "facs" against the autonomy law, called "La Loi Pécresse," which will essentially start French universities on the spiral downwards into the American education system, where private investors own the universities and predatory lenders control them.

Students have voted to block several of the Paris-located facs, most of them by overwhelming majority vote.

And yet the center left establishment, led by the Socialists and LeMonde, have ridiculed them as usual and complained about the pesky French habit of protest. As the Center left moves more in the direction of the American styled yuppie, PC nonsense, the principled Left has taken heightened action over the last 5-6 years in shutting down the work of the establishment parties.
