> ~AWARE  and others will be participating in the annual IHSA tournament
> *counter recruitment* event across from Memorial Stadium the
> Friday and Saturday following Thanksgiving. (November 23-24)
> AWARE has held this informational event for a number of years
> just outside *tent city* near the Military Recruitment Booth that
> targets the students attending the State High School
> Championship Football Tournament.

> ~Last year AWARE was challenged by the Athletic Department of the 
> University and
> the Champaign Police and forced to leave the area near the military 
> recruiters.
> This matter was pursued all the way to the Chancellors Office
> with AWARE receiving written verification that we were within our 
> rights
> to hold a leafleting event right next to the military presence.
> AWARE, IVAW and others plan to join together with area high school 
> students and
> a cross section of peace groups and activists to once again hold a 
> *full disclosure counter recruitment* event
> next to the military recruiters at *tent city*.

> 12 (noon)-4:00 PM on each day November 23-24 (Friday and Saturday)
