So, if you live in Champaign, communicate with Mayor Schweighart and with your City Council member soon! Especially if they are:
* Ken Pirok, ward 5, west of Mattis and South of Bradley (roughly)
* Tom Bruno, Council Member–At Large
* Vic McIntosh, ward 3, West of Prospect and North of Bradley (roughly)
* Deb Feinen, Council Member–At Large
* Karen Foster, Council Member–At Large
* and of course the Mayor who is supposed to represent all of Champaign.

Contact information, including addresses and phone numbers, is here: http://www.ci.champaign.il.us/government/page.php?pn=contact_us_mayorcouncil

Do show support Gina Jackson, Marci Dodds, and Michael La Due.

In a slight correction to Brian Dolinar's statements, Ken Pirok only rents out 1 or possibly 2 units. Yes he is a landlord, but there are other people on the city council that are more intimately connected to landlords handling more units than Ken Pirok does.

And I agree with Brian that the majority of people on the Champaign City Council are really opposite to everything I believe in, and as someone who grew up in Champaign, I am terribly ashamed.
