News Releases - Nauticus Welcomes Blackwater USA  
On September 19 and 20, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.,
Blackwater USA will host an open house for VIP's and
invited guests on board its vessel, the M/V McArthur,
which will dock adjacent to the Battleship Wisconsin
at Nauticus. The event will showcase the McArthur's
full array of resources and capabilities. 

The McArthur is owned by Blackwater Maritime, a
division of Blackwater USA that owns, develops, and
operates vessels suitable for disaster response,
training, security (including active
anti-terrorism/piracy activities), law enforcement and
surveillance. 

"Nauticus is proud to showcase new maritime
technology," said Richard Conti, executive director of
Nauticus. "Blackwater has a proven record of success
in preparing Americans for entering hostile
environments."

The McArthur's equipment includes state-of-the-art
navigations systems, full GMDSS communications,
command and control labs, helo-decks, medical
capabilities and multiple ridged-hull inflatable
capabilities. 

"This is a great opportunity," said Blackwater
President Gary Jackson. "We are always excited to
showcase our accomplishments to the community and
Nauticus is the perfect venue for highlighting our
maritime capabilities."
