[Peace-discuss] My Audacious Hope: President Obama Will Respect the UN Charter

The UN Charter is a treaty that the US voluntarily signed (and played
a big role in crafting.) As a treaty that the US has signed and
ratified, it is the law of the land. Although it is binding, it does
not violate US sovereignty, because the US signed it voluntarily.
