Hello from liberated space,
In order to help us prepare for any given scenario we have set up a twitter account which we can use to instantly send a mass text message to people in the Chicago area. Please sign up on the UE's occupation page at www.ueunion.org/ue_republic.html Also sign up your friends by getting them to send the text "follow ueunion" to 40404. There has not been a resolution yet, and the negotiations are still in progress.

You can also make a donation by paypal to the occupation. Action takes resources. Donations go directly to UE Local 1110.

When Republic workers decided not to leave their factory on Friday we did not expect that it would galvanize a national movement for the rights of working people. As I write this there is a line of toys and food inching its way into the factory. The cafeteria looks more like a grocery store, and there is a mood of kinship in the factory, with children playing in the main hall. None of this would have been possible without the love, solid action and support of those in the Chicago community and around the country who have stood in solidarity with Republic workers.

In solidarity,
Your brothers and sisters at Goose Island, Chicago.
