[Peace-discuss] state-of-Champaign-Schools-Consent-Decree: Tuesday 2/5, 6:30pm, Urban League

If you've been following the Consent Decree under which the
Champaign Unit 4 Schools have been operating, there will be a public
meeting on the state of compliance with it, this coming Tuesday:

   Tuesday, Feb. 5th, 6:30 PM
   Urban League (Neil and Springfield)

Robert Peterkin (the lead Court monitor), William Trent (PIC chair), and
at least one other person (I didn't hear who, possibly lead counsel Carol Ashley?)
will make a presentation to the plaintiffs... and to whoever else shows up.
It sounds as though the public is welcome.

[Learned this by phone from Carol Ashley's office -- apparently they
are calling a long list of people who'd attended meetings in the past.
Anyone have more complete information on this meeting?]
