This article about Iran's launch of a rocket also mentions

   Iran does not recognise the nation of Israel,
   though, and President Ahmadinejad has publicly
   predicted that Israel will not exist forever.

... rather than claiming that Ahmadinejad had
threatened that Iran would destroy Israel, as far too
many in the press have said.  Good for them.
