You should probably write to the MLK committee as well. 

The event with Ms. Tucker (VP for Diversity and Employee Rights for the Boeing Corporation) in particular was sponsored by Champaign and Urbana Human Relations Commissions and the Champaign County Board. 

By the way, Ms. Tucker is also a graduate of the University of Illinois.
