[Peace-discuss] Panel on Health Care Tomorrow!

A Panel Discussion entitled " Transform: Health Care & the Local Movement
for Reform" will be held on Wednesday, January 23 at 7:30 p.m. at the
Channing-Murray Foundation, 1209 W. Oregon in Urbana.

The panelists will discuss the crisis in Champaign County, where 40% of
residents have little or no access to health care. The local movement to
reform the system and the situation for immigrants in the health care
system will be covered. Panelists include:

-Jeff Trask, pastor and founder of the Champaign County Christian Health
Center
-David Hurley, physician and health care consultant in Danville, cofounder
of the Vermilion Area Health Clinic
-Judith Ormazabal, interpreter at the Christian Health Center
-Rob Scott, an instructor at the School for Designing a Society which
hosted the “Redesigning the Health Care System” Intensive in October, 2007
-Claudia Lennhoff, Executive Director of Champaign County Health Care
Consumers

Attendance is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided.
