[Peace-discuss] AWARE float -- you made my day!!

THANKS to everyone involved w/ the AWARE float -- it was great. For those who stayed home, here's what my day was like...
 
Went to the parade for the first time in years and years. The AWARE float followed IVAW and both got a HUGE loud cheering response from the crowd -- louder than everything else put together! (I was at Nevada and Lincoln in Urbana -- lots of like-minded folks around) and am hoping response was as good all along the route. Quite thrilling.
 
The AWARE float was a KNOCKOUT!!! The truck was huge, the posters were huge AND very easy to read from pretty far away even... The PERFECT theme for the times as well -- tho' I noticed the other entries pretty much bypassed the topic and just did their same old same old Inde Day Parade thing. 
 
I truly hate the 4th of July, but I definitely LOVED it for a few minutes today.
