Hello,

I am a student in Stephen Hartnett's crime and social justice class at UIUC,
and as a final project my group members and I are hosting an event on-campus
in April.  We are working on securing a speaker from Murder Victims'
Families For Reconciliation, as well as student speakers and poetry about
the death penalty to round off the evening.  Stephen recommended that I
contact you to see if AWARE would be interested in co-sponsoring this
event.  The reason we are looking for co-sponsors is basically to add
credibility to what we're doing and attract members of local activist
organizations to attend.  Our event will be held at the University YMCA on
either the evening of Wednesday, April 23 or Thursday, April 24.  Please let
me know if this is something in which your organization would be interested
-- it would be wonderful to work together on this event!
