Couldn't make it this afternoon, but thanks for the info. Did they wrap things up today, or will the trial continue tomorrow (Friday)? If so, what time does it start?

The court in Brian Chesley's case is on lunch break now,
resuming at 1:30 pm -- in courtroom E as before.

Court's pretty well attended. Many more witnesses
are yet to be called by the defense, so if you arrive after
1:30 I think you would have several chances to come in.

The straightforward situation initially presented by this morning's
prosecution witness, officer Clinton, has turned up several
contradictions -- some under cross-examination, and many
more as the defense witnesses are called. I don't want to say
anything specific since witnesses are still coming in
and some may read these lists.

Kirchner and Wyman are doing a really fine job.
One bit: Kirchner pointed out that under state law,
it is legal to walk away from a peace officer who is
asking you to stop, unless that officer has some
reasonable basis for stopping you, and arguing that
the State had presented no evidence for any such basis.
This was part of a motion for direct dismissal of both
charges. Unfortunately the judge didn't buy it.

Who knows what the jury thinks. They do look interested though.
