[Peace-discuss] The Supreme Court, the US Constitution, and the 2008 election

AWARE friends,
     On Friday May 23rd, Bill Moyer interviewed Jeffrey Toobin, author of The Nine: Inside the Secret World of the Supreme Court who reminded us that, regardless of what the voters concerns may be -- the war(s), the economy/gas and food prices, the environment, etc... the 2008 election is REALLY be about who will appoint the next 1-3 Supreme Court Justices, which in fact determines the fate of our Constitution and democracy (Scott Ritter points out that the Court's job is to interpret and uphold the Constitution, which determines EVERYTHING else). The candidates are on record as to personal favorites. McCain's are Alito and Roberts. Obama's are Bryer, Ginsburg, Souter, and Earl Warren.
