Lucas Conley, Obsessive Branding Disorder
According to Lucas Conley, Americans are exposed to between 3,000 and 5,000
advertisements
per day and he reports that $300 billion dollars is spent on branding products
every
year.  Mr. Conley profiles what he considers the flawed business strategy of
branding
and the affect it has on consumers.  This event was hosted by Changing Hands
Bookstore
in Tempe, Arizona.

Once a Marine: An Iraq War Tank Commander's Inspirational Memoir of Combat,
Courage,
and Recovery
Nick Popaditch, a former Marine tank commander who served in Iraq, talks about

life in the military and his service in Iraq.  Gunnery Sgt. Popaditch also
discusses
the recovery process he went through after being injured in Fallujah in 2004. 
He
spoke at The Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center at Twentynine Palms in
California.
