We are not evaluating the substantive content of what is being said but if
the meaning of the action that is being proposed.  Censorship for good or
for bad is still censorship regardless of the content that is being censored
or the person who is being censored.  The old "if it happens to you, it is
comedy; but if it happens to me, it is tragedy" approach represents a
prejudicial position any way you look at it.  In this case, I think in
principle Carl is right even if in practice I might like to see not only
Dobbs but CNN taken off the air and both terminated.

I usually agree with most of your points and analysis, but how you can claim

ANY similarities between Lou Dobbs ( and his promotion of racism against 
Mexicans and now inciting violence against those who want a watered down 
public healthcare option ) and Amy Goodman is beyond me !
