Wow, talk about a run-around after dialing the number! Never did get thru but worth it to keep on trying, so I will. Meanwhile, if there are e-addresses that will work as well, pls include them. Thanks!
Yeah, 'waaaaay past time for the US to speak up on this issue in no uncertain terms.

Dear Robert,

Thank you for the actions you've taken to increase U.S. pressure on
the coup regime in Honduras. In response to pressure from the U.S.
public, Congress, and from Latin America, the Obama Administration is
starting to move.

Late yesterday Reuters reported that State Department officials have
recommended to Secretary of State Clinton that she formally declare
what took place on June 28 in Honduras a "military coup." [1] Under
U.S. law, this would cut off all remaining non-humanitarian U.S. aid
to the coup regime.

Could you make a phone call today to Secretary Clinton, urging her to
follow the recommendation of her staff, and formally declare that a
military coup has taken place in Honduras?

Call the State Department at 202-647-5171. Deliver the following
message: "Secretary Clinton, please follow the recommendation of the
State Department. Legally define the de facto regime in Honduras as a
military coup and cut off all non-humanitarian aid to Honduras until
President Zelaya is reinstated."

Please forward this message to anyone you know who you think will take action.

Thank you for all you do for a just foreign policy,

Robert Naiman
