Although the decade does NOT end with this month (that's a year from now), there 
is nevertheless much chat about the coming decade (the twenty-teens as the 
successors to the twenty-noughts).  As is often the case, one of the best 
remarks comes from Alex Cockburn - hyperbolic, but a scary caricature:

	"The corporations run the show and the only opposition
	now comes from Christian populists."
