Loathing for Jewish state trumps logic

Belden Fields' Jan. 27 letter on Gaza is vintage Belden.

Hubris coupled with his loathing for the Jewish state trumps logic and fact. He blames Israelis for loss of Palestinian life in the recent Gaza war when he knows that Palestinian civilians were used as human shields by Hamas, sacrificed like lambs to serve the Islamic terrorists' goals.

Fields is anything but naive. He knows that rocket-firing missiles were placed by Hamas in Gazan schools, mosques, even hospitals. He knows that the huge secondary explosions in Gaza were not the result of an Israeli missile, but the Israeli missile hitting Hamas arsenals placed in civilian locations.

Now he, like his friends in Hamas, pretends to care about human life. Have you seen a Fields letter to the editor deriding the more than 6,000 rockets fired since 2005 from Gaza into Israel on civilian targets?

Have you seen a Fields letter deploring the Islamic terrorist slaughter of civilians at Mumbai hotels and at a Jewish Chabad house in India just this past November? Have you seen a Fields letter denouncing the 9/11 attack on this country?

He, along with the crew from AWARE, are partisans in this international conflict. They are just not on our side.
