[Peace-discuss] A vacation from outrage

Precisely, it is the American way.  It is all about near-sightedness,
immediate gratification,  and getting at least one's share of the booty if
not more than one's share at the expense of others while glossing it over
with symbolic crocodile tears, hubris, and declarations that we now live in
the best of all possible worlds.  Can't rush things or take them to far or
we will get those open and out front professed right wing conservatives back
in power; it is better to have the deceitful, hypocritical white lie-telling
liberals in power so we can continue to pretend.  Life for most Amerikans is
like a competitive sport where all that matters is being on the winning
side.  It is not how you play the game; it whether or not you win the game
and make good moves or plays in the game so as to keep the spectators happy.
