[Peace-discuss] Bob Herbert calls out Obama on Afghanistan

"The time to go all out in Afghanistan was in the immediate aftermath of the
2001 terror attacks," writes Bob Herbert in "The Afghan Quagmire."

Herbert was in favor of the war from the beginning (as was Obama). Neither notes
that the US rejected the Afghan government's offer to deliver Osama bin Laden
for trial: the US was (and is) much more interested in having an excuse for war.

There are two ways to oppose your government's wars (SE Asia, SW Asia, etc.):
	[1] because they're crimes; or
	[2] because they're too expensive.

Herbert and others have chosen the second.  --CGE
