Presentation on "Free the Slaves" by Jason Glassburn
First Mennonite Church, 902 W. Springfield Ave., Urbana
Wednesday July 22 at 7:00 p.m.

Jason Glassburn, who is walking across the country in conjunction with an anti-slavery organization called "Free the Slaves," will give a presentation about this program to rescue men, women, and children from bondage. There are 27 million slaves in the world today, people forced to work without pay, under threat of violence, and unable to walk away. The majority of slaves are found in India and African countries, but slavery thrives in many other countries as well. At least 14,500 slaves are trafficked the U.S. each year, forced to work in restaurants, homes, brothels, mines, and fields, anywhere slave owners can feed their greed.

This should prove to an important awareness-raising presentation about a topic that receives little attention in the U.S. press. You may learn much more about world slavery by visiting the compelling and informative website: www.freetheslaves.net.

Come to learn how you can help free thousands of slaves from such dehumanizing bondage.
Be sure to encourage others to attend, also.
