I am back in Urbana after a nearly two-week hiatus in southern 
Illinois.  My father had injured
himself in a fall and had a massive subdural haematoma which was 
successfully treated by
emergency surgery in Evansville, Indiana.   He and my mother live in the 
remote countryside
of rural Hamilton County and are both independent and dependent upon one 
another so this
was quite difficult for my mother.  The good news is that my father is 
improving rapidly and should
be able to return home after a couple more weeks of rehab.

Thanks to all who sent supportive notes and those who covered for me 
while I was away, and those who
thought nice thoughts and/or said prayers.
