Have U.S. Media Buried the Afghan Civil War?

Searching through the Washington Post and the New York Times for the
past year, I could not find a single news article in which the idea
that a civil war existed in Afghanistan at any time following the U.S.
invasion in 2001 was mentioned, with the exception of the Washington
Post article about Matthew Hoh's resignation.
