The fear & loathing of Palin is just remarkable.  I think it must come from the
notion that she's violated a class boundary (which of course can't be admitted).
Politics in America is of course for the political class, the upper 20% of the
population (roughly the university-educated), and both they & the 80% realize
that. Palin doesn't know her place: she's jumped that boundary, and the response
is hysterical (in two senses).  --CGE
