My impression -- first hand and from others -- is that AWARE is having problems just about everywhere -- at meetings, in the community, and on the peace-discuss list.

Hello Jenifer,

Can I ask whether you are referring to the latest AWARE mtg. or the Peace-Discuss list serve?  I believe the work of the group is so very important in these most difficult times and conflict between members hurts us all.  If the parties agree, I would be honored to offer 2 of my Center's mediators to help soothe some feathers.

On an honest note, if your comment refers to the discussion group, I have lost interest in it completely as it is ruled completely by 3 or 4 people who use this public domain to pontificate their personal views continuously.  I would like to see less of their comments and more from others.  As can be verified, I have felt forced to insist that my address be removed from the list when I get fed up with the sheer number of msgs. and too often the hostile, unproductive content. 

Thank you for my honest moment in the spotlight.

Yet more issues today that take time and energy away from peace and justice work...
 
I think about all the good people who have left AWARE because of the unpleasantness, and so I'm hanging on and trying not to become another casualty. But right now I feel so downhearted about all the ugliness that I really don't want to be part of this anymore. 
 
I will say that it is the good people remaining who give me hope that there are better days ahead for AWARE, as well as for our nation and the world.
