It does give one pause.  I'm constantly amazed at what passes for "news" in
the U.S.  Even Nightline, once a halfway decent TV news magazine during the
earlier days of Ted Koppel, now has at MOST one "hard news" segment, and it
has a regular feature called "Signs of the Times", which is always about
what the rich are doing or thinking or consuming.
