"Clinton: "...certainly this president will not make decisions ... based on
polling. That would not be something that you will see him or any of us deciding."

War protestors arrested outside the White House gates.

It's cold and snowy in Washington, D.C., but that didn't stop protestors from
showing up at the White House today to demonstrate against the wars in
Afghanistan and Iraq.

Police appeared to arrest an unknown number of protestors as they sought to
chain themselves to the White House fence.

The protest took place as Obama and aides released a progress report on Afghanistan.

The review came as 60% of respondents in an ABC News/Washington Post poll said
the Afghanistan war is not worth fighting anymore.

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said the administration understands
"the stresses that this war causes," but also believes that it is "critical to
our national security" and efforts to fight global terrorism.

"I'm well aware of the popular concern, and I understand it," Clinton said. "But
I don't think leaders and certainly this president will not make decisions that
are matters of life and death and the future security of our nation based on
polling. That would not be something that you will see him or any of us deciding."
