[Peace-discuss] News from Neptune tonight at 7pm

Have you ever been engaged? I hope not, at least as the USG understands it.

This and other linguistic pruderies masking lies will be discussed tonight at
7pm on channel 6, when Karen Medina and Ron Szoke join me for another edition of
News from Neptune on Urbana Public Television.

For twenty years, the program has been a spontaneous & unrehearsed discussion of
the news of the week & its coverage by the media.

The name “News from Neptune” honors Noam Chomsky, who to my mind has been
talking sense about American politics for more thatn 20 years. Chomsky has said
that, in the US media, "Either you repeat the same conventional doctrines
everybody is saying, or else you say something true, and it will sound like it’s
from Neptune."
