[Peace-discuss] Should US Census ask about sexual orientation??

AWARE Friends,
A homosexual friend says the US census should include a question about sexual orientation so that more accurate data are available -- i e, larger numbers than currently believed -- which would result in better legislation, etc. I'm not convinced that this is the best way to accomplish this goal and could instead backfire. PLEASE weigh in w/ yr tho'ts?? Thanks.
