Another Sherlock-Holmes-and-the-dog-in-the-night-event: Why hasn't the WH 
attacked the veracity of any of the material leaked by Wikileaks?

Answer 1: It's the result of hacking & the administration is actually afraid of 
being caught in lies.

Answer 2: The Brier-Patch Strategy: the administration clearly wants to get its 
war on against Pakistan, but can't quite do it directly (cf. Clinton's trip, 
where she said people in the Islamabad government know where Osama bin Laden 
is). Now it can quote the Wikileaks material on the perversity of the Pakistani 
military.
