This group of tea partiers in the Chicago area are organizing themselves for campaign training.
The Leadership Institute.  I dont find that to be very stupid.  The Leadership Institute brands itself
as conservative but actually many of their people are quite libertarian.

Here's something that's great to see. At least eight Tea Party groups have come together to host a Conservative Campaign School next Saturday, May 8th, in suburban Riverside (near Brookfield Zoo).

The group is bringing in The Leadership Institute, a nationally recognized training organization based in Arlington, Virginia, to conduct the one day class.

I took this class a few years ago and I highly recommend it. The Leadership Institute has been conducting these classes all over the country since 1979. They know their stuff.

The event is being hosted by the Cook County Tea Party, Black Tea Patriots, Frankfort Tea Party, Homer Lockport Tea Party, Illinois Tax Day Tea Party, Joliet Tea Party, New Lenox Tea Party, and the Palos Liberty Tree Tea Party.

These are some Tea Party groups that really get it. They still make the signs and have the rallies. But many are taking the next logical step and are putting boots on the ground with events where they go door-to-door or phonebank for conservative candidates like Adam Kinzinger for Congress. Some members are running for public or party office themselves. And now they're hosting campaign training.

Basically these Tea Party groups are doing what our State Republican Party SHOULD BE doing, and they're doing it with no fundraising apparatus.
