But she didn't note that there was never really much of a contest.  The fix was 
in. Harvard is a Calvinist foundation (it's famous motto "Veritas" is a 
shortened form of the full motto - "Veritas pro Christo et ecclesiae") and the 
characteristic doctrine of predestination has simply been secularized (and 
dumbed down).

Like the other members of the Ivy League, Harvard exists to school the sons & 
daughter of dominant social groups and talented members of other classes who 
will work for the ends and goals of those groups. Winning was basically 
determined at birth.
