[Peace-discuss] Punish the Democrats, yes

These arguments seem to have fallen into the familiar groove, with the
same folks saying the same things that they always seem to say. But
it's far from clear to me that this appropriate to the situation.

There seems to be general agreement here that in this Congressional
election, nationally, there will be two groups of Democrats and two
groups of Republicans on the ballot: Democrats who vote for and
against the wars, and Republicans who vote for and against the wars.
We may disagree about whom we would put into which category, but some
folks, at least, we would all agree on: we all agree that Kucinich
votes consistently against the wars, and we all agree that Ron Paul
votes consistently against the wars.

Dennis Kucinich and Ron Paul are expected to coast comfortably to re-election.

But there are a bunch of folks who have voted consistently against and
spoken out consistently against the wars for whom that it is not true.

Russ Feingold springs to mind. Feingold has been far and away the
strongest anti-war voice in the Senate. But, according to polls, there
is a strong possibility that he will be defeated.

So, one might think that this might be a focus of interest. There is
something we could do something about. We could organize a calling
party for Feingold, for example.

Isn't this something that we could do?
