Three terms as an outspoken and outstanding senator, a independent voice for Progressive causes... plus stellar performance in the first two debates w/ the third scheduled for Oct 22nd (not that Johnson offers much actual competition -- he got his inspiration from... wait for it.... Ayn Rand, omg... and -- lacking any pesky data and facts -- he's ready to privatize social security (tho' not for any current- or soon to be retirees, of course). How did WI voters suddenly get so stoopid? Depressing depressing depressing. --Jenifer

MILWAUKEE (AP) — A new poll says Wisconsin's U.S. Senate race is a
tossup between Democratic incumbent Russ Feingold and Republican
challenger Ron Johnson.
The St. Norbert College Survey Center poll shows Johnson ahead, 49
percent to 47 percent. The margin of error is 5 percentage points.
Other recent polls have shown Johnson with a slight lead. However,
Feingold says his internal polling has been showing a virtual tie
among likely voters.
The poll released Tuesday afternoon also found that 42 percent of
respondents approve of the job President Barack Obama is doing, while
52 percent disapprove.
The St. Norbert poll is sponsored by Wisconsin Public Radio. It
questioned 402 registered likely voters between Oct. 12 and Friday.
The election is in two weeks.
