[Peace-discuss] IVAW meeting / planning a panel for early December / 412 W. Illinois, Urbana

Conrad Wetzel was interested in going to their meeting to combine
AWARE efforts on a panel discussion planning. Conrad is busy that
evening, so will not be going.

However, he shares the information with us in case someone else can
run with this ball.

There is going to be an Iraq Veterans Against the War and Allies meeting!
When: This Wednesday, October 20th, at 8:15pm (Sorry the meeting is so
late. This is the only time that everyone can make)
Where: Sarah's house! 412 West Illinois Street in Urbana (on Illinois
and McCullough).
Please pass this along to anyone who might be interested.

Here are some agenda items brainstormed at the last IVAW meeting. Feel
free to send more items my way:
- Organizing a panel discussion in mid-December on military PTSD and
suicides and the cycles of trauma in Iraq and Afghanistan.
- Expanding our presence on campus and in the community. Building our
membership and growing relationships with groups that do intersecting
work.
- Support for war resisters and conscientious objectors
- Building community amongst ourselves: scheduling a time to watch the
Winter Soldier movie
- Long-term visioning: goals for the year? Building a timeline.

Sarah's house is at the corner of Illinois and Mccollough. The address
is 412 West Illinois Street. You can get there from Champaign by
taking Green Street past Lincoln into Urbana. Make a right on
Mccollough and the first stop sign is Illinois. Sarah's house will be
on your left.
If you are coming from Urbana, take Green to towards Champaign and
make a left on Mccollough.
