Urbana Public Television (cable channel 6) is showing both parts of this special
one-time only, this coming Thursday morning (8/18) from 8 to 9am (preempting The
Big Picture that day)

*/In 1972 a photograph went around the world. It showed the nine-year-old
Vietnamese girl Phan Thi Kim Phuc, running for her life, her face twisted in
pain and terror, as she fled the horrors of a napalm attack that destroyed her
village. She suffered terrible burns. It was a photo that shocked the world. In
days, Kim Phuc's picture was in every newspaper and to this day it remains a
symbol of the inhumanity of war. But the subsequent story of the girl on the
photograph is largely unknown. In a two part series, Deutsche Welle's "In Focus"
documentary profiles the person who became the poster child for the Vietnam War./*
