I haven't agreed with Jane Hamsher of Firedoglake on every thing she 
promotes and supports
but I have signed some of her letters and petitions and really 
appreciate her efforts.  She's
a real trooper and she doesn't give easily, maybe not at all.

The American police state/military state seems to desire to make 
commonplace the unusual
in "cruel and unusual".

/Cruel?  What do you think?  Of course it's cruel.  Shee-it, Batman.
If it warn't cruel, why would we be doing it?
Unusual?  Hell, we do it all time.  What planet are you from?/

Bradley Manning by detaining Manning's friend and regular visitor David House at the base entrance until visiting hours were over. House was accompanied by Jane Hamsher of Firedoglake.com, a website that has collected 42,000 signatures on a petition calling for improvements to the conditions of Manning's detention, which constitute extreme and illegal pre-trial punishment.
