Sounds like FL Ave was a microcosm of everything wrong w/ our country and world. Sorry you had to go thru that on our/AWARE's behalf, and THANKS AGAIN for marching. Grateful that the police were there to protect you. We criticize them for perceived lapses but take the good things they do for granted. They have my heartfelt thanks on this.  --Jenifer

Dear All,

It was great to march in the parade. I wish there were more of us. The crowd along Florida Avenue was not receptive. One threw a can at us. The police had a talk with them and then 2 police people were riding alongside us after that. Some WWII looking vets were receptive. One person said we should keep digging for more oil. How sad. Of course when we turned the corner along Lincoln it was fun to get some applause.
