Hi Don and peace-discuss,

An AWARE float is an important thing, I think especially this year.
The US has a new war going on. Election time is coming around again
and politicians need to be reminded that war is an issue.

Joining with other groups is a potential great idea, so here is what I
I have heard: the ACLU sent out a message about a possible ACLU float
requesting interest from at least 12 people. So I am not sure if they
are going to have a float.

Much of ISO will be at a conference July 4th, but a few members will
still be in town.

Veteran groups get to go much earlier in the parade, but I think you
would have to talk a group into having something. A lot of veterans
don't care for the noise of the 4th of July.

Theme-wise: wide open theme with potential this year.
Brainstorming:
* Discovering peace frontiers: Resorting to war is a complete lack of
imagination. The U.S. has always ended wars poorly. What is war good
for? Absolutely nothing.

I am stuck in a rut, but others will have some great ideas.
