Not much punch,and no relationship to the theme just carrying Peace signs. 
E-z enuff to provide both punch and theme w/ a little imagination and not much more work.
Repeating my original suggestion: "Discovering New Frontiers" could mean e-communication's impact on Peace and Justice -- facebook's toppling Mubarak; whistleblowers (Manning; Drake) and journalists (WikiLeaks). 
If anybody wants to head this/anything up, go for it!

My two cents: I agree with both Paul's points.  Signs, or signs-and-a-banner,
could be a fine entry.

But please discount the above - I'll miss this year's parade, will be away on the 4th.
And I won't have time to help with planning until next week, at least.
