Apparently I misinterpreted, sorry.

Here are two ways to get people:
1) Create a Facebook event for AWARE marching in the parade and invite every 
local person on your friend list.  Make sure those invitations instruct those 
invited to also invite their friends, etc.

2) Email everyone local you know about AWARE marching in the parade.  Have them 
email their friends.  All interested should let you know (and/or join Facebook 
event-link in email).
