your member of Congress that you want them to work for peace!
**Your voice is needed!*

*Join with others in your community* and across the country in telling
members of Congress that Israeli-Palestinian peace is a priority. Add your
name<http://org2.democracyinaction.org/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=6qpmlpPk8UXfnEmwrS0SOADHlgY0vp9j>to
a letter to your legislators calling on them to work for peace in the
Holy Land in 2011.

You can also print out a copy of the
letter<http://org2.democracyinaction.org/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=ygR1wplzTU%2Bna6XHPJ3kvQDHlgY0vp9j>and
get others at your church, school, or community event to sign-on as
well.

Showing that we care and are paying attention to what those in Congress and
the White House do regarding peace with justice and security is crucial to
making change happen.

You can also have a tremendous impact by *visiting face to face with your
members of Congress* or their staff. Your congressional delegation, (your
representative and two senators) will be working in your state the week of
March 21 – 25 and they will be looking to hear from voters and advocates
like you. Let them know that you believe that peace in the Holy Land is a
priority by gathering a group to meet with members’ offices.

When CMEP groups meet with elected officials a copy of the sign-on letter
with all signatories will be given to your Members of
Congress<http://org2.democracyinaction.org/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=41VWio3fxTNhcrdyp1dSwADHlgY0vp9j>.
The time is now to let your members of Congress know that you want a
comprehensive peace in the Middle East and that you are willing to give your
time and energy to help make it happen!

It’s important that you call soon to set up a meeting with your members of
Congress. CMEP has a how-to
guide<http://org2.democracyinaction.org/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=SiCa5P8YqTqENHU5nKpxSwDHlgY0vp9j>for
making a successful visit to your local legislators’ offices,
including tips
for making an appointment<http://org2.democracyinaction.org/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=yIStyO12rPhx9um1kYTwewDHlgY0vp9j>,
and will provide step-by-step support for you and your group to have a
successful meeting. Check out CMEP’s
guide<http://org2.democracyinaction.org/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=zRW5cWXzZOKfv1SMvxGm5wDHlgY0vp9j>,
and let us know<ellen at cmep.org?subject=I'm%20interested%20in%20participating%20in%20local%20lobby%20meetings>if
you are interested in participating in a local meeting.

For the Peace of Jerusalem: Christians for Israeli-Palestinian
Peace Now<http://org2.democracyinaction.org/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=EjhgzFUL2gsgjnouOsy3cQDHlgY0vp9j>
is
a national campaign calling on people of Christian faith across the country
to work for a just and secure peace for Israelis and Palestinians in the
Holy Land. The campaign’s launch on December 1, 2010 is especially timely
given the U.S. administration’s focus on direct negotiations between Israeli
and Palestinian leadership, the challenges these talks have already faced,
and the important role of the Holy Land in this season’s celebrations of
Christ’s birth. Find out more about the campaign and its members at

organizations, including Catholic, Orthodox and Protestant traditions. It
works to encourage U.S. government policies that actively promote a just,
