Interestingly, the CNAS report quietly but candidly admits "a 'new great game' 
for the region's raw materials, minerals, and lines of transportation," and 
"steadily growing domestic political pressure [in the US] both to curb 
foreign-aid and military budgets and reduce Washington's involvement in South 
Asia."

Those are the problems the Obama administration's imperial policy has to overcome.
