Hello all,

AWARE will be at the indoor Holiday Market in Lincoln Square this Saturday,
and every Sat. through December 17th.

If you have time to help, and come talk with passersby, that'd be great.

The hours are longer - 7:45am to 1:00pm - we'll still have three shifts but
at different times:

     7:45am-9:30am (Karen and Stuart)
     9:30am-11:30am
     11:30am-1:00pm

I'm not sure exactly where in Lincoln Square we'll be, but probably close
to last year's location, in the hallway that extends northward from
the main crossing point.

Among other things, we'll have fliers for the film we're showing *next
Monday*:
The Take, by Naomi Klein and Avi Lewis, talking about Argentinian workers'
takeover of closed factories in the economic collapse of the early
2000s. Rather
than simply accepting what the owners intended - to scrap their
factories and
get what they could for them, leaving their employees on the streets -
workers
occupied their plants and began running them themselves. It's a
beautifully told
series of stories, and very much relevant to what we face in the US today.
