Sen. Jeff Merkley and Sen. Rand Paul have introduced an amendment to
the National Defense Authorization Act that would press President
Obama to expedite US military withdrawal from Afghanistan. The
amendment has 13 co-sponsors, including Senator Durbin.

The amendment may be voted on tonight or tomorrow.
