The story of the disasterous results of 17-years of a Mayoral appointed Chicago School Board.
In addition to the lack of transparency and democracy, the Chicago appointed School Board is composed entirely of millionaires whose children all attend private schools. For the last several years this appointed millionaire School Board has been implementing a corporate agenda of taking public taxpayer dollars and giving it to private charter school corporations, while at the same time, have been denying funds to Public Schools and closing Public Schools as well as attempting to destroy the Chicago Teacher's Union.
