Here's a nice slap in the face for the [once great] University of Illinois.
mene mene tekel peres
Israeli President Shimon Peres addressed the group on its last day in
Israel. The 86-year-old President looked small on the dais next to
Quinn, who is more than 6 feet tall. When the President started to talk,
the Illinois group, as well as the President's staff, leaned closer to
catch every word. "This will be the decade of science and technology,"
President Peres said, "This is because of 25 years of advances in
computer technology and because of the number of scientists and
engineers that China and India are producing every year..."
I suppose even though they "leaned closer to catch every word", it went
"zing" over their heads.

Ah, if you just spend more on education in Illinois, it will fix the
ideological problems.
.."I have this against you, that you have left your first love.
'Therefore remember from where you have fallen, and repent and do the
deeds you did at first;
or else I am coming to you and will remove your lampstand out of its
place---unless you repent."
